SAFETY POLICY

This document states Giannuzzi objective to maintain and, where practicable improve the safety levels of all its activities, and to minimize the contribution of its products and services to the risk of an aircraft accident or serious incident occurring as far as reasonably practicable. The policy representsthe foundation on which the organization’s management system is built and serves as a reminder of‘how Giannuzzi does business here’. Top management is responsible and committed to pursuing the objectives and the pillars of SMS,
providing the necessary material, means, and either financial or human resources as an integral part of
the production management system and according to the plan.

MISSION

Giannuzzi will focus efforts on improving the following five areas: Leadership, Culture, Competence,Capability and Assurance.

ACTIVE LEADERSHIP

Giannuzzi strongly believes that safety is a responsibility of all employees and, therefore, top management is responsible for inspiring and diffusing “just culture” across the company, promoting the relevant training for the staff, and keeping it motivated, sensitive, and committed to the pursuit of the established safety objectives so that all activities are carried out in the safest environment seeking always chances to improve safety performances.

CULTURE

Giannuzzi follows a non-punitive approach to promote an environment where employees are
encouraged to share safety issues/concerns and willing to report hazards.
The establishment of “just & fair culture” principles/concept is a priority.
Disciplinary actions are not applicable under the following circumstances:

•Either manufacturing or design errors due to personnels’ lack of experience or training;

•Manufacturing errors due to incorrect production documents (i.e. drawings, job cards, etc.)interpretation;

•Incorrect installation due to incorrect or difficult interpretation of technical documentation.

COMPETENCE

Giannuzzi promotes a conscious “Safety” approach to ensure that everyone can do his job with maximum competence, understanding his safety responsibility and actively playing his part.

SUPPORTIVE CAPABILITY

Since continuous improvement can impact on safety priorities and objectives, Giannuzzi promotes a responsive change management in order to ensure SMS validity and relevance with respect to factors such as external requirements, safety performance, organizational structure, scope of activites, etc.

ROBUST ASSURANCE

Giannuzzi ensures safety through risk management, ensuring that risks are understood, mitigated as far as reasonably practical and constantly monitored/controlled.
